What era do you belong in?

What era do you belong in?

Good day my friends!  I hope this day finds you well and abundantly blessed!

Have you ever felt like you were born into the wrong era? I know I have always felt like I belonged in the wild West.  I absolutely love the dresses that the women wore

and the idea of being on a parcel of land with no neighbors for miles draws on my heartstrings.  I grew up reading all the Louis L'Amour books I could get my hands on.  I just knew I was going to move to either Montana or Wyoming and live on a big ranch with cattle and horses and all the things that make a ranch a ranch.

Well, life didn't exactly turn out that way, and fashion has changed a bit since those days.  But wouldn't it be fun to be able to spend a day in the life of the era we felt like we should have been born into?

To be able to go back in time and see how they actually lived.  To watch the way they made their own clothes.  But, while I am drawn to the romanticism of the old west, I am also drawn to indoor plumbing and local shopping and finding my clothing already made and so am thankful to be living in the 21st century.

If the fashion style of the wild west intrigues you, the below article was a very interesting read and covers the fabrics used and styles of clothing worn across the country during this time frame.  Both the style and the fabric depended greatly of course on the area of the country.  Fashion styles didn't traves cross country nearly as quickly as they do today.  Can you imagine being a year or more behind the times as far as what was "in style"?  lol

Anyway, I hope you give the below a read and leave me a comment with your thoughts?  What era should you have been born in?
